AQQA® membrane filter
AQQA® is a submerged ultrafiltration system for membrane bio reactors (MBR) and for the filtration of surface or production water. The membrane plates are aligned in a box, that can be stacked like toy cubes. An AQQA® unit of the 25- and 80- series always consists of an aeration unit at the bottom and one, two, three or four AQQA® boxes on top. These systems are made for containerzed systems, municipal plants up to 50.000 p.e. and industrial plants. Our AQQA®4 and AQQA®8 are ideal for for small household appications, e.g. in small sewage treatment plants and greywater systems .

Up to three times higher output per membrane surface area
More pores per area. Highly hydrophilic PES membrane manufactured in Germany. Free permeate flow thanks to unrestricted flow channels for the permeate. Permeability > 2000 l/m².h.bar (140 g/ft2.d.psi)*.
Less acquisition cost
Higher output allows less membrane modules and smaller systems with less footprint.
Less maintenance cost
The plates are fully backflushable, allowing effective cleaning without removing the membranes from the tank. Thousands of dimples hold the membranes in place and enable high backflush pressures. Single plates can be exchanged.
Less operating cost
The plates are rigid and have a constant gap of 6 mm. This provides optimum shearing forces on the membrane leading to a maximum cleaning efficiency and lowest energy consumption. The membranes cannot touch each other.
Less pretreatment cost
Thanks to the constant spacing of 6 mm (8 mm optional), the system is not vulnerable to hairs and fibers.
Less replacement cost
Robust contruction with solid PP plate and dimples that hold the membrane in place during relaxation. The membrane cannot flutter, eliminating the risk of wear.
